Maisie Williams, an acclaimed British actress, who became popular with the hit HBO series, Game of Thrones, asked her over 2 million Twitter fans for guidance on Bitcoin. Nevertheless, responses on her bitcoin question differed. The Twitter poll received both optimistic as well as pessimistic responses. Some people stated that she should hoard Bitcoin. In contrast, others cautioned her to stay away from it.
Maisie William’s Twitter poll received about 900,000 votes, 3.1K retweets, over 3.3K comments, and 15.3K likes at the time of publication. Moreover, according to the results, 46.6% of the voters answered “yes” to her longing for bitcoin. Nevertheless, the maximum of the respondents to the poll warned her against buying the crypto asset. According to the poll, over 54% of the 856,000+ votes were against buying Bitcoin.
Maisie Williams receives mixed reaction from her followers.
Furthermore, she also received suggestions from celebrities and bitcoin proponents. SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk responded to Maisie Williams’ tweet. He states that she should toss a bitcoin to the Witcher enclosed between musical note symbols. Musk possibly connected to a song from the Netflix TV series The Witcher, including Superman actor Henry Cavill and Freya Allan, although not including Williams. Moreover, a few people mentioned to Musk that The Witcher was the faulty series, implying that Musk confused it with Game of Thrones instead.
MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor also tweeted in acknowledgement of Maisie Williams’ bitcoin call. The Nasdaq-listed billion-dollar company recently purchased $500 million worth of bitcoin and made it the company’s primary Treasury reserve asset. Barry Silbert, CEO of Digital Currency Group, told Williams to check out Grayscale, the digital asset hedge fund. What’s ironic about this explanation is that in the “Game of Thrones” world, there is a condition named Greyscale.
However, after receiving tons of messages, Maisie Williams took to Twitter and appreciated all the advice. She also announced that she bought some bitcoin. Some of her fans, though, responded with dismay. Some claimed that it is critical for the planet while one of her fans declared that they believed the cryptocurrency was simply a meme.
