CoolBitX has partners with BitPay, a significant cryptocurrency payments service. The association announced will help make using crypto assets as payments for day-to-day goods and services far more convenient.

BitPay supports payments at various retail outlets. Users will also now be able to use their Cool Wallet S to make purchases at AT&T, Twitch, Microsoft, Newegg, and so on. The following press release was shared:

“This partnership enables CoolBitX’s hardware wallet, CoolWallet S, to become the first hardware wallet in the market to fully integrate with the open-source JSON Payment Protocol as an ongoing effort to facilitate the mainstream adoption of cryptocurrency.”

Cool Wallet S first became available in 2018. It offers both online and offline digital storage solutions. As a result, the Wallet combines the convenience that online storage solutions offer with the safety that comes with offline solutions.

“All its security features pared down to the size of a credit card. CoolWallet S is the world’s first hardware wallet that allows for Bluetooth-enabled pairing with users’ mobile phones.”

Cool Wallet S has integrated itself with Simplex and BANXA. This allows users to make payments with their credit cards or with direct fiat currencies. The Wallet supports most major cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, and so on.

CMO of BitPay, Bill Zielke made the following statement:

“BitPay is seeing an increased demand for hardware wallets and we recognize that users want to store their cryptocurrencies in many different ways. …BitPay has seen a 7.2% growth in Q1 2020 while volume was up 9.1% over the same period in 2019.”
